Dual Meets

From the Duals tab, select New dual and set the matchup — opponent, date, and location.

Pick a weight-class preset — NFHS Boys (14 weights), NFHS Girls (14), or NCAA Men's (10) — or enter your own custom weight labels.

Build the lineup by assigning a wrestler from your roster to each weight. A weight can be left open; an open weight stays open until you record a forfeit for it (or fill it later — see Scoring on Meet Night).

Any coach in your club can score any bout on the card from their own phone — scoring isn't limited to whoever created the dual. Tap Score on a bout to open the recorder (or Continueif it's already in progress).

For a weight that won't be wrestled, use the Forfeit menu on that bout to record a forfeit for either side with a quick confirm — no need to enter the scoring flow. A double forfeit skips the weight and awards no points to either team.

Exhibition bouts:Flag a bout as exhibition and it still scores, records, and films like any other bout — it just doesn't count toward the team score.

MatViz tallies the team score automatically as each bout finishes, using NFHS point values: 6 for a pin, forfeit, default, or disqualification; 5 for a technical fall; 4 for a major decision; 3 for a decision.

If the dual ends tied, the card shows the NFHS tiebreak criteria panel — most match victories, then pins, technical falls, major decisions, near-fall points, and decisions, in that order, until one team leads. If every criterion ties, the final step is a coin flip, which MatViz leaves for you to resolve manually.

Once every contested bout is complete, tap Finalize to lock the dual. A finalized dual's bouts can't be edited — tap Reopen first if you need to change a result.

The final result feeds your club's dual record shown on the club home page.

Any bout you record lands in your club's video library like any other match. Filter the library by Dual meets to see every recorded bout grouped under its dual.
