Video Library

How match recordings land in the library, who sees what, and how storage quotas work.

How Matches Appear

When a coach or admin starts a recording and selects the club as the recording destination, the finished video appears in the club's shared library. Recordings are tagged with the match metadata: wrestlers, weight class, event name, and date.

Videos are available for playback as soon as processing completes, typically within a few minutes after the recording ends.

Coach vs Parent Access

Access to the library depends on the member's role:

  • Owner, Admin, Coach -- See all recordings in the club library. Can search, filter, and use coaching tools on any video.
  • Member (parent) -- See only recordings linked to their wrestler(s). Members link wrestlers through My Account > Link Wrestler.

This means a parent sees a focused view of just their child's matches, while coaches see the full picture.

Recording Quotas

Storage is divided into two pools:

  • Personal -- Comes from an individual MatViz+ subscription. Only you can access these recordings.
  • Club -- Comes from the club subscription. Shared across all club members according to their role.

When starting a recording, you choose which pool to draw from. You can see current usage in your club dashboard under Settings > Storage.

Starter -- 50 GB shared storage
Program -- 200 GB shared storage
Unlimited -- 1 TB shared storage

Searching and Filtering

The library supports search by wrestler name, event name, and date range. Coaches can filter by weight class to quickly find matches for a specific athlete.

Videos from previous seasons remain in the library and are searchable even after a roster rollover.
